WHAT IS THE AIRBAG & HOW DOES IT WORKS

BIG SOURCES NEPAWORLD

Many people are losing their lives prematurely due to not paying attention to safety while driving.

Although many people pay attention to the price, mileage and texture when buying a car, very few people do a careful study of safety, say experts.

Buying a car in a country like ours is a dream of many. But we are taking a lot of risks when we don't consider what to look for when buying a car.

Lately, about 99 percent of the customers who come to buy a car say that they pay attention to such safety features.
Air bags are an important safety feature of a vehicle. Lately, automobile companies have been paying a lot of attention to this.

How does an airbag work?

The air bag is a balloon made of cotton. Which swells as soon as an accident occurs and prevents the passenger / driver from getting injured.

As soon as a car accident occurs, the front sensor counts the pressure per microsecond and removes the airbag if necessary.

After the signal of the sensor, there is a chemical reaction in the air bag. As a result, nitrogen gas fills in less than ten times a second. The passenger then hits the airbag and is not injured.

When the passenger hits the airbag and is pushed back, the airbag dries again immediately. In this way, the air bag helps a lot to protect the head and neck of the passenger in case of a car accident.

Just because you have an airbag doesn't mean you can't wear a seat belt. Seat belts and airbags are separate jobs.

How did airbag system is start?

General Motors first used airbags in the car in 1970. It has been widely used commercially since the 1980's.

Automobile companies have used up to 10 airbags for all passengers in the same vehicle after the airbags used for driver safety became effective.

In developed countries, the use of airbags is mandatory in most small vehicles. Entrepreneurs say that its demand and use is increasing in Nepal as well.
