Police are extending the term for the second time on Friday to start investigation against Siddhababa alias Krishna Dasji Maharaj. Krishna Dasji has been taken from Virat Nursing Home in Biratnagar who is undergoing treatment from Sunsari District Court for extension. Krishna Dasji was taken to Sunsari at 11 in the morning in an ambulance (Ko 1 Cha 4073) of Virat Medical College and Teaching Hospital.

He was brought in a wheelchair from the ICU and placed in an ambulance. A team led by DSP Binod Sharma had come to Biratnagar to pick up Krishna Dasji. For the first time, a four-day period was extended by the court to investigate him on Monday.

DSP Sharma said that after the expiration of the first term, he had to go for a second extension for further investigation. A female follower had lodged a complaint with the police alleging that she was taken to her ashram at Chatara Dham in Sunsari and raped in the first week of Kartik.

After that, Krishna Dasji was admitted to the hospital on Thursday. Police arrested him while he was still in the hospital and produced him in Sunsari court on Monday.

The court had extended the four-day term against Krishna Dasji and ordered him to be admitted to the hospital for treatment. The court also ordered the investigating officer and the public prosecutor to go to the hospital and take statements from him. DSP Sharma said that Krishna Dasji refused to speak saying that he was sick even though he went to the ICU of the hospital to take his statement.

According to Sharma, the doctor also suggested that it would be better not to talk to Krishna Dasji twice, saying it was a 'minor heart attack'. "The doctor did not allow him to speak and Krishna Dasji did not allow him to speak," he said. "That is why no statement has been taken so far for the investigation into the rape allegations."
